Mission Pet Hospital is hiring! We are a busy, 8 veterinarian, practice located in the heart of the Mission District of San Francisco. While we are a general practice, we also see emergencies, and excel in many advanced areas of veterinary medicine. From preventative care, dentistry, and ultrasonography, to orthopedic surgery, chemotherapy, and critical case management, Mission Pet is able to provide specialty services without leaving the care team you know and trust.

We love our RVTs, and we provide ample opportunities for new and seasoned technicians to learn new skills (…and practice old ones). We currently employ 12 RVTs and are looking for more to join our fun-loving and talented team.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician and/or RVT with the following skills:
Proficiency in humane restraint
Familiarity with basic veterinary pharmacology
Medical calculations
Anesthetic induction/intubation and monitoring skills (RVTs)
Surgical nursing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Nursing care and treatment skills
Radiography techniques and safety
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience obtaining blood and urine samples
IV catheter placement and maintenance
Advanced technical skills a plus!
